Nigel Hughes is a Founding Associate and Director of Leadership at Maynard Leigh Associates (established 1989). He is an expert on leadership, creativity and high performing teams. Nigel, a multi-award winning Founder and CEO of two NGOs, knows leadership from the inside. Nigel empowers people worldwide. He is an inspirational speaker, leadership coach and mentor.

He is a member of Prince of Wales Corporate Leaders Group on Climate Change, an alumnus of the Cambridge University Sustainability Leadership Programme (CPSL), and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. (RSA).

His key clients, include: Arvato/Bertelsmann, Biogen (USA), Capgemini, Deutsche Telekom, EY, Genentech (USA) and Santander Tech UK.

One of Nigel’s great personal assets is his global perspective. He spent 25 years dealing with different culture and diversity issues as co-founder/CEO of Green Light Trust. In 1985 Nigel created the Northern Lights Trust UK to support people living with HIV and AIDS. This work took him through Europe, USA and Australasia.

Earlier this year (2018) Nigel helped the Senior Management Team at Sage People with their integration process. He helped the Executive Team at Isban UK (Santander) weave their way through the current industry challenges, enhancing team performance by designing creative mental and emotional space for the team to evolve themselves individually.

He and his team continue to deliver the groundbreaking “excellence@arvato/Bertelsmann”; “Inspire, Engage, Empower” for Deutsche Telekom and “Future Leaders” for Capgemini. He is currently engaging with senior management at IHS Markit in their merger. He continues to help Maynard Leigh India launch various dynamic leadership programmes with Wells Fargo, McKinsey and Tata Communications.

In December 2018, through his newly created initiative OUTstanding Global, he will partner with the MLA India team to celebrate the repeal of Section 377. They will premier “Coming out and Coming Home” in New Delhi - a 2.5 immersive Personal Leadership experience for LGBTQ.
